Today, our greatest explorers and exploring consciousness and the nature of reality
Foundational questions unfold with greater velocity every second.
What is our role and relationship with ourselves, each other, the built, digital and natural world?
What does home, community, mean?
From Aldous Huxley to Anaïs Nin,
and Alan Watts.
From the Homebrew Computer Club
to the Grateful Dead.
We come from the deep
counter-culture intellectual roots
that have reshaped music, art,
technology, entrepreneurship, venture,
philosophy, frontier consciousness research,
and psychology.
The same lineage.
The same restless intelligence.
The same refusal to accept
the world as given.
That lineage never ended.
It went quiet.
and built the world we live in.
We are explorers.
Intellectuals, philosophers,
creatives, entrepreneurs, artists,
musicians, outcasts, misfits,
and outliers.
A haven for first-principles, based thinking,
for ignoring boundaries,
for the unconventional.
The counterbalance to a world
moving faster than it can understand itself.
We are Outliers.
A place to do serious work,
on the things that matter,
in the ridiculous way
we like to live.
Our gatherings are not programming.
Our members are not an audience.
The tools we build are not products.
They are instruments for humanity
to come into deeper knowing of itself.
A haven for first-principles, based thinking,
for ignoring boundaries,
for the unconventional.
The counterbalance to a world
moving faster than it can understand itself.
Here we workshop a future
worthy of our highest potential
as human beings.
We’ve been doing this
all over the world,
yet don’t have a place
to call home.
We’re not “all one, maaaaan.”
We are not building the metaverse.
We will not optimize your morning routine.
Not simply a hotel, club, restaurant,
community or business.
Something a little more timeless,
A mindset.
This has been happening quietly
for years.
